Young Guns Outdoors board members will
select a youth for each of the hunt giveaways
that are available. Our criteria for choosing a youth is not set in stone, we do not necessarily choose a youth because of a disability, or rough circumstance or any one thing. But instead we look at the entire picture (with the information
you provide) and come to a consensus about which youth we feel would most benefit from our
When referring a youth, please be as detailed as possible about why you are referring them, why you feel they most deserve this opportunity.
As always, your information is safe with us. We will not use it for any other purpose besides selecting a youth for one of these life changing experiences.
You can refer your own child, or another youth that you feel deserves this opportunity!
For the youth to be eligible for these hunts
the youth MUST RESIDE IN UTAH or KANSAS and be 12 - 17 years of age

Once we receive this referral form we may contact you or the parent/guardian to fill-out an application.
To get started, you should visit wildlife.utah.gov/huntereducation. or click on this link Hunter Education course You’ll see links to a complete list of traditional or online hunter education courses. Follow the instructions on the website to sign up for a course.
If you need assistance, please contact your local Division office or call 801-538-4727.
When you complete the course, your instructor will sign your course certificate, which will then become your hunting license. With a valid hunting license, you can also apply for or obtain permits in the Division’s hunt drawings.
Approximately four to six weeks after you complete the course, you will receive your blue card by mail.

Refer someone else's YOUTH for a hunt
After your referral is submitted, we will follow-up with
the parent/guardian of the youth. Thank you.
